The mission of the Landless Peasant Party UK is to bring about Landocracy – A political and economic system based on equal rights and responsibilities to land.
Click for Landocracy International

The UK is not our nation. We do not own the land of the nation, it is not held for our benefit nor on our behalf. From the day we are born we are landless, with no right to the very essence of our nation. Yet we are extolled to work, pay tax, fight and if necessary die to defend it. We are liable for the debts of our nation, we are the mass of people from whom business extracts its profits. We live in the 24 million homes on 7% of the land, unable to live by our own means. We have little choice but to take part in whatever economic slavery our “owners” see fit. Without Land we are not free, we are the livestock of those who control it.

We hold that a Nation is the sum of its Land and its people. That the freedom of its people is determined by their level of self reliance, their ability to look after themselves and their communities. People who need their state to feed them, give them jobs and support them are not free, they are livestock. Land is needed to sustain humans above all else. Land is the wellspring of all wealth, the defining physical property of a nation and the most precious element of our lives. Land is what the poor lack and the rich have in spades, land is life, land is wealth , land is power.

GOING FORWARD

Unlike other political parties the LPP is actively working to create the world its members want, as well as campaigning to be elected. We are raising funds to buy land in the UK so we can demonstrate the ideals we campaign for. Land and property we aquire will be managed sustainably, we will create self reliant communities, we will run green businesses, we will promote and use renewable energy. These things strengthen our political voice, so we speak with experience on land use and sustainable living, as environmental champions as economic pragmatists, leading us to electoral success and political power.

Britain is for sale, corporations and wealthy families buy and sell it to each other all the time.
If we want to , and we do , we can raise some money and buy Britain.
Between 3 to 5 Thousand pounds will buy a piece of land in the UK.
On it we will establish our HQ and our right to live like Peasants.
The more money we raise the more of a Nation we will have.

Abolish Income tax – National revenue from Income tax will gradually be replaced with a flat land tax. This will create a market in land, as the few landowners of Britain rush to dispose of their tax liability. Local revenues will be raised by means tested income tax, including tax breaks for food and energy production.

Nationalise Water Supply – Water is a fundamental need for life, a nations government should have few duties beyond its safe supply. What is taxation for but to provide essentials for the people who pay them.

Energy For Every Home – there are 24 million residences in the UK. Fitting each one with modest wind and solar power systems will cost less than Trident. This will give every home its own light and power. If you need more you pay for it, grid electricity will be taxed.

Equal Partners With Business – Corporation tax will be set at 50%. Those who wish to profit from the people of this land are welcome…as partners. Individuals and small businesses will be exempt.

Land For Peasants – Social land , like social housing, will be made available to those who wish to support themselves by their own means. To be part of our nation will mean the right to part of that nation. In a Landocracy all the people share rights and responsibilities to the land of their nation, not just a few.

A New Oath – The oath to god and the queen will be replaced. All public servants will take an oath to “Serve the people honestly and conserve the land of our nation”

None Of The Above – We will add None of the above to the ballot in all UK elections. If your views are not represented your vote will still count.

Vote Landless Peasant

The Landless Peasant Party is a new political party representing the views and aspirations of Landless Peasants in the UK.

The UK is not our nation , we do not own it, the land of the nation is not held for our benefit nor on our behalf.
From the day we are born we are Peasants, with no right to the very essence of our nation.
Yet we are extolled to work, pay tax, fight and if necessary die to defend it.
We are liable for the debts of our nation, we are the mass of people from whom business extracts its profits.
We live in the 24 million homes on 7% of the land, unable to live by our own means.
We have little choice but to take part in economic slavery.

Our basic need for shelter must be provided by market forces supplying our homes to us for as much profit as the market can bear. These homes are not built for you to “live” in ,they are built for you to sleep in after work. They have no means to make energy, there is little or no facility to grow your food. Instead our food is flown in from around the world, manufactured on an industrial scale using the cheap labour of other Peasants in other lands. Our energy is suppllied by hugely profitable multinationals at great expense to us and the Earth. Even the supply of water makes vast profits. Our lives have been reduced to a collection of utility bills and what we do to earn money.

We are educated to take part not to be self reliant, there are no classes in building your home, growing your food, dealing with your waste, making your own energy. Even though these things can be done simply and effectively. We are kept like livestock, wholly dependent on our owners supplying our needs. Our laws and institutions are run by and for the few families who do own the land. 6000 people own 70% of all the land in our nation. Until recently (1914) these were the only people allowed to vote, wield power or hold office.

Our “Democracy” allows us to have a representative in the house of commons, we are still called commoners, we are still Peasants, we might as well be pets. The economy is held up as the pivotal centerpiece of our lives. The economy must grow and we must consume or calamity will befall us, because without its support our lives as Peasants will become all to apparent. What If the banks did fail and business collapsed, what will happen to us?
We will starve like Peasants always have, we will be made to labour for the Lords, as we always have, we will live on the margins of the Land, while those who took it for themselves emerge again as our masters.

To remedy these iniquities Peasants must escape the treadmill of work ,tax and exploitation. It is for this purpose that the LPP exists. To take back the land, to give people the right to live on and from it. To remove the need to “work” for our lives and replace it with a right to have a life. A life where we look after ourselves , provide for ourselves and have no need of masters Lords or owners.

The mission of the Landless Peasant Party UK is to bring about Landocracy – A political and economic system based on equal rights and responsibilities to land. Free people with their own independent means leading self reliant lives, may choose ideologies for themselves. They may trade their surplus, take a job, buy things they dont need. In a Landocracy These things will be a choice not a need.

If you’re a Landless Peasant in the UK or if you support our views, then please join us by registering on this site. Membership costs £20 Thanks

If you dont want to join the party you can always support us with a donation. Thanks

Hello Landless Peasants

Today is 6th April 2010 and the General election has just been called.
Some people in counter culture say politics doesnt work, I disagree.
Politics is cutting public services and raising taxes, its declaring war and borrowing money.
Politics is allowing unelected hereditary Lords to pass judgment on our laws and lives.
Politics is helping business make vast profits from all the Peasants of this land and politics is maintaining the status quo of land ownership in this country where 6000 people own 70% of our nation.
Not that im a nationalist or a patriot, im an earthling from Fife. The fight for the right to live like Peasants in this nation is just part of a global struggle. The struggle for Landocracy. Humans all over this planet should have the right to live on and from the land. The idea that a few people can own what all others need to live, is wrong. It creates poverty and enables exploitation .

Landless Peasants dont want much , we want to look after ourselves , we want a small government and a self reliant population. Most of all we want everyone to have the right to live on and from the land. We want to protect the earth from pollution and pointless destruction. We want business to be a part of life not the purpose of it and we want to reduce the suffering of other Peasants by providing our own energy and food, as far as is practical and useful.

None of this is going to happen by wishful thinking. Lets get on with it.

Everything – from land, water and plant seeds to folk stories and football results – can now be claimed as private property. Andrew Simms on the new enclosures

You can buy a one-acre plot of land on the moon for £19.95. Slightly cheaper is Venus, which can be had for £14.25, plus registration fee. You can do this because, on 22 November 1980, Dennis M Hope went into the offices of San Francisco County and filed a declaration of ownership for both bodies. Just to be sure, he also filed with the federal government, the USSR and the UN General Assembly. He also declared ownership of the eight remaining planets and their moons. He set up a Lunar embassy and started to license others to sell plots. One, MoonEstates.com, describes itself as the UK’s “only extraterrestrial land agents”. For Mars, there is even a bill of rights to provide for mediation in the event of land disputes between settlers and a “native creature”.

They can’t be serious, can they? In 1967, the internationally agreed Outer Space Treaty forbade governments from claiming any celestial bodies as their property. But the committee that worded the treaty forgot to include private firms or individuals and, though the 1979 Moon Treaty would have prevented the exploitation of space for private profit, not enough countries signed. Opponents complained that it would bog down space exploration in “a ‘common heritage of all mankind’ morass”.
